Grand Ivory Integration

– Description:

HotUtils and Grand Ivory have been integrated to allow for even easier mod management.

Grand Ivory’s Mod Optimizer: https://mods-optimizer.swgoh.grandivory.com/

HotUtils has integrated with Grand Ivory’s Mod Optimizer to bring you a tightly integrated smoother way of using the optimizer -> equipping mods in game.

HOW TO USE:

STEP 1: I recommend you visit Grand Ivory’s site first using the link above in Chrome/Firefox. Ensure you are on his latest version, you will get a prompt if not. If you are not on his latest version you should clear your cache and do a hard fresh (ctrl+f5).
WARNING – Make sure to save any existing presets first if you are in the middle of re-modding

STEP 2: Do one of the following:
a) Either login to your account at https:///www.hotutils.com and navigate to the Mod Manager and click “GENERATE LINK” under the GRAND IVORY OPTION.
OR
b) Issue a !grandivory command to the bot

STEP 3: Copy the link you obtained, paste it into your supported Browser to navigate to Grand Ivory’s Optimizer Site.

Navigating via this link creates an integration between your HotUtils account and Grand Ivory’s site. You only need to do this once, Grand Ivory’s site will remember the integration, unless you click the “Reset Mods Optimizer” button or clear you browsers cache. If you do that you will need to repeat the process to create the integrated link again.

Once the sites are connected/integrated, you can take advantage of the following options

Fetch my data – will fetch your currently equipped mods (you can do this as frequently as you want as a HotUtils subscriber).
Fetch with HotUtils – will fetch your current equipped AND UNEQUIPPED mods using a game session. WARNING This will BREAK your game session.

When you have done optimizations in the mod optimizer and click Optimize my mods! you will see the above panel.

Create a new mod profile – This will send the current mod optimization straight into your HotUtils account Roster Loadout section as an available profile to now load. (Previously you had to Export/Import).

Move mods in-game – This will now directly move all your mods in game based on your optimization. (This will break a game session – and please always be patient this can take several minutes or more for large moves).

SECURITY:

Even if someone else puts your ally code into Grand Ivory, they cannot use any of the game related commands on it. In the How To Use section above, that is the step that creates the integrated link between the two systems and allows the integration. That is specific to only you and your browser.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If having issues with the version of Grand Ivory:

Chrome is ridiculously aggressive about caching, and since the Optimizer is a static site, it likes to revert to caches versions instead of using the newest version. Your best bet is to save your progress, then clear the Application Cache from within Chrome settings (or whichever browser you’re using)

1. Open dev tools (f12 on Windows, or CMD + Option + I on mac)
2. Go to the “Application” tab and select “Clear Storage” on the left
3. Check off “Unregister Service Workers”, “Cache Storage”, and “Application Cache” (and nothing else)
4. Hit “Clear site data”
5. Refresh normally
One advantage of that is that it leaves the local database untouched, so it keeps people’s optimizer data around while still allowing the version to update

– Frequently Asked Questions

– Are there any limitations with this function?

None.

– What are some common issues you might experience trying to use this function?

None.

– What is the command syntax prefix?

On the HotUtil Discord Server it is $; on outside channels it defaults to !, but it can be changed using the default command syntax followed by hotprefix followed by the symbol you want to utilize as your new default command syntax prefix. If performing any function within a DM window with the bot, no command function syntax is required.
